Meet Our Clients: Deanna Hurn, Miracle Math Coaching

When Deanna Hurn opened Fairfield’s Miracle Math Coaching 12 years ago, she was in her mid-twenties and did not know the first thing about running her own business. “All I knew is that I wanted to make a difference,” she shares in this video. “I had all these ideas that were all over the place, but how do I bring clarity and focus and structure and strategy to my thoughts?”

She reached out to the Solano SBDC and shortly after connecting with an advisor, enrolled in Solano’s NxLevel program for entrepreneurs. “It made such a huge difference in my confidence and my knowledge and understanding in what it was going to take for me to be successful in business.”

Over the years, the SBDC has helped Hurn to create a “village of support” that continues today as she navigates the COVID-19 pandemic. “It’s that wraparound care that business owners really need,” she said. “I’ve made the commitment that the SBDC will always be a part of our business.”

Caring for your business’s health is as important as caring for your personal health. Register today for the Solano SBDC’s new ‘Biz Rx’ program and receive a custom prescription for your business’s future success.

‘Biz Rx’ includes two key components. The first is a no-cost webinar series, led by Solano SBDC‘s Lead Business Advisor Onna Young. The second is a no-cost, confidential one-on-one assessment with a SBDC advisor that will include an in-depth S.W.O.T. – Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats – analysis of the participant’s business.

Solano SBDC Director Tim Murrill designed ‘Biz Rx’ in response to the many conversations he has had with area business owners navigating through a tumultuous 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic, and state ordered shutdowns.

“Look at ‘Biz Rx’ as a check-up or re-charge for your business and future opportunities,” he said. “Each assessment will be personalized and geared specifically to you and your business and will reveal key areas of opportunities. We want our business owners to get as much value from this experience as they possibly can.”
